Pregnant? Avoid All Breath Work!

Apr 08, 2022
Pregnant Women

If you are trying to get pregnant or are currently pregnant, this is for you.

Breath work and most breathing exercises (including breath holds or fast and intense breathing) are not suitable for pregnant women. This is because breathwork changes the chemicals in the body and signals in the brain which is not safe for mother or baby.

However, if you are currently pregnant or trying to get pregnant, there is one thing you can do to help keep your mind and body relaxed (which is great for you and bubba), and that is calm, soft, regulated nose breathing.

Nose breathing not only increases healthy circulation, improves uptake of oxygen in your cells, helps keep you hydrated but also improves digestion (crazy right?!).

In the near future we will also be running workshops for new mums to help create healthy breathing habits post pregnancy so contact me here if you'd like to join a group - [email protected]
